- - Valentine's Day Ideas - -

What are you guys doing for Valentine's Day? It's totally okay if you don't have much planned - sometimes I don't either.

However, if you are looking for ideas of where to take your significant other (and you don't have the patience for packed restaurants on the 14th), I've jotted down a few thoughts below to get you inspired:

πŸ’™ Try something new together! πŸ’™

You know what might be fun to do on Valentine's Day? Take a class together!

There's nothing better than learning how to do something new with your partner. Go to a painting class together or maybe take up Latin or Ballroom dancing for a night!

If you live in Toronto then you're in luck because there are so many wonderful places to visit:

  • Want a sophisticated night out? Grab a pair of tickets for a show at the Ed Mirvish Theatre. If you're into Cabaret, it starts playing on Valentine's Day!
  • Want something more cozy and intimate? Walk through the Distillery District hand in hand with your loved one while checking out the Toronto Light Festival!
  • Interested in photography and nature? There's a Wildlife Photographer of the Year gallery on right now at the Royal Ontario Museum!
  • I also hear there's an amazing aquarium right beside the CN Tower that you can go to on Valentine's Day!
What I like about all of the options above is that they give you plenty of time to talk with the person you're with.

πŸ’› Make dinner a unique experience! πŸ’›

Have you ever heard of Mysteriously Yours?

Mysteriously Yours is a Toronto-based dinner and theatre experience. What's special about it is that you're not just eating and watching a show - you actually gets to participate in the murder mystery that unfolds right before your eyes! Don't worry about it being too serious - I hear that comedy is a big part of the show.

πŸ’š Make it a dinner and movie night! πŸ’š

Interactive shows not your thing? No worries - there are a few VIP Cineplex Theatre locations that transform the movie-going experience into something a little fancier. Now you can watch a movie in a theatre that serves food (think actual meals...not just popcorn) and drinks! Even if you don't end up getting anything to eat, at least you can watch a movie in very comfortable seats. 🍷

🚘 Rent a car with Turo! 🚘

Finally, no matter where you decide to take your significant other this Valentine's Day, Turo can help you get there!

Turo is a car rental marketplace where travelers can rent the perfect vehicle from a community of local car owners. What's amazing is the variety and accessibility - Turo is available in over 4,500 cities (including Toronto) with a selection of over 800 car makes and models! Turo is also a more affordable option as it's up to 35% cheaper than many traditional car rental agencies.

What's great is that Turo works the opposite way as well. If you would like to make a little bit of an income you can list your car (for free) and join a community that assists you every step of the way!
